If transcoding for multiple devices, a faster CPU may be required. Intel Core 2 Duo processor 2.4 GHz or better. Recommended Configuration- transcoding HD Content: Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, CentOS or SuSE Linux. Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.3 or later (64-bit). Windows XP with SP3, Windows Vista SP2, Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8. 
Intel Core 2 Duo processor 1.6 GHz or better. The installation was not attempted on a 64 bit version of PCLinuxOS. Also be aware that this installation was done on a 32 bit version of PCLinuxOS. As such, you may not be able to get support in the forum should the installation of this software this cause issues with your system. Installing software from outside the official PCLinuxOS repository WILL render your installation a non-standard installation. 
By installing the Plex Media Server from an outside source, it may cause problems with your system, now or in the future. Now for the standard warnings: As always, it is recommended to only use software found in the Synaptic repository. The Server is available on many platforms like Mac OS X, Windows, many flavors of Linux, as well as many NAS devices like ReadyNAS or Synology. Plex is a centralized home media playback system with a powerful central server, the Plex Media Server, that streams its media to many Plex player apps.
